Connectivity

Perryian Works is well-connected within Birmingham. It has great access to a range of sustainable transport options, easy access to all the amenities of the city centre, and close proximity to Aston University and Birmingham City University.

This includes direct bus routes along Lancaster St/Price St and walking distance to Birmingham Snow Hill, Birmingham New Street and Moor Street Station, offering extensive connections to the wider city and country.

It will also be nearby to the Birmingham Eastside Metro extension and HS2’s multi-million-pound Curzon Street Station.

Encouraging residents to use sustainable transport methods has been placed at the forefront of our proposals, with a keenness to ensure that residents can take advantage of the existing public transport network, as well as the generous provision of cycle parking and storage that will be available to residents.

Further improvements and landscaping have been identified within a wider vision for the area outlined in Birmingham City Council’s ‘Our Future City Plan 2040’. This includes a long-term ambition to remove the existing Queensway flyover and roundabout nearby, creating a new green space in front of the fire station and greenways which will deliver planting and reduce traffic. This will also open opportunities for improved walking routes to the city centre.

Our plans align with these ambitions, and the proposal responds to the desire lines across the site, improving the permeability of the city with the delivery of a pedestrian corridor.
